Over the Easter school holidays, dental students from the University of Newcastle made a meaningful impact in their local community by running a free oral health clinic for children.
Putting Training into Practice
A total of 26 students took part, gaining valuable hands-on experience while delivering essential dental care to more than 100 children. Services included examinations, X-rays, professional cleaning, fluoride treatments, fillings and extractions, ensuring each child received comprehensive care in a supportive environment. We’re proud to see our instruments supporting these examinations and treatments, contributing to safe, efficient and high-quality care.
This initiative not only improved access to dental services for families in need, but also allowed students to further develop their clinical skills and confidence. Programs like these play an important role in bridging gaps in community healthcare while preparing the next generation of dental professionals.
