We are proud to once again support Bellarine Community Health (BCH) through a donation of dental instruments and clinical consumables for their personalised dental service for people with autism and mild intellectual disabilities.
Our donation included our D3006 Three-Piece Diagnostic Kits, S3000 Three-Piece Restorative Kits and FF53 Front Face Mirrors, which will be used by the BCH dental team as part of their specialised service. Being able to contribute to a service that helps make dental care more accessible and inclusive is something we are incredibly proud of.
For some people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or mild intellectual disabilities, visiting the dentist can be an overwhelming experience. Sensory sensitivities, anxiety and unfamiliar environments can make routine dental appointments particularly challenging.
Bellarine Community Health’s personalised dental service has been specifically designed to help address these challenges by providing a more individualised approach to dental care. The service aims to reduce anxiety, build trust and create a more comfortable experience for patients.
BCH shared their appreciation for the donation, saying:
