We were delighted to donate a selection of expired dental instruments, surgical packs and clinical consumables to Australia Zoo’s Wildlife Warriors Hospital.
Wildlife Warriors was established in 2002 by Steve and Terri Irwin and provides life-saving care to thousands of animals each year.
Their mission is:
“To be the most effective wildlife conservation organisation in the world through the delivery of outstanding, outcome-based programs and projects, inclusive of humanity.”
Today, with 13 global conservation projects, three expansive conservation properties, and a dedicated international community of donors and supporters, Wildlife Warriors continues to protect precious wildlife and carry on Steve’s legacy: Save one. Save the species.
The hospital treats sick, injured and orphaned native Australian wildlife. The most commonly admitted animals include birds, possums and gliders, reptiles, koalas, and bats. Between 2004 and 2024, more than 136,000 animals have been treated.
To support this vital work, our donation included:
- Medical gowns
- Medical masks
- Minor surgery packs
- Periodontal examination kits
- Three-piece diagnostic kits
Warehouse & Logistics Clerk Ben, shared his thoughts on the donation:
“It’s incredibly rewarding to know our contribution is supporting such an important local cause. We hope these supplies help the team continue their vital work caring for wildlife in need, while giving these materials a meaningful second life. We look forward to supporting similar initiatives in the future.”
