Meet our Sales Team Manager

Hi Jennifer, why don’t you tell our readers a bit about yourself

My name is Jennifer Martinsson, I came to Australia 6 years ago chasing the sunshine. I studied international business at the University of the Sunshine Coast and fell in love with Australia and the outdoorsy lifestyle the coast can offer. I enjoy travelling and I’m always planning my next adventure.

Something tells us Martinsson isn’t an Australian name, where are you from originally?

I’m from a beautiful region called Värmland in Sweden. Lots of forest and lakes around – nice and green in summer, white and icy cold in winter.

Besides family and friends, what is the one thing you miss from home most?

I definitely miss the summertime. Everyone’s relaxed and just enjoying themselves. Other than that, I really miss my favourite dill flavoured potato crisps. Can’t get enough of them!

What attracted you to the role with Single Use Dental?

I enjoy working in an innovative company within a typically traditional industry. No day is the same and I enjoy the challenge of introducing a new concept to clinics that have never heard of us before. I like working in a small team, even though we’re not that small anymore. I still feel like we are a close-knit team that works together towards the same goal.

Describe a typical day as a Sales Team Manager

I often spend my time researching, contacting and meeting with clinics to spread the word and discuss our instruments. As a sales team manager, I also need to keep in close contact with our Brand Representatives that are located in different states. Developing our sales systems and how we can progress as a company is also something I enjoy spending time on.

What do you feel the Brand Representative service offers to those interested in Single Use Dental Instruments?

Researching new products online is a great option, but when it comes down to making a change in your practice you want to make sure you speak to a person, not a computer. This is where our Brand Representatives come in handy and can help personalise your Single Use solution. All our reps have varied backgrounds and experience that help them make sure our customers are happy with our products and service.

What is the thing you most enjoy about your role?

I enjoy meeting with people and discussing how our instruments can help their clinic – no practice is ever the same. It’s great when clinics express how our instruments have changed their perception of single-use products and how we have helped create efficiency in their operations.

What is your most exciting challenge right now?

Expanding Single Use Dental Instruments into other regions and countries. I love the challenge!

What is your favourite dental instrument and why?

The mirror. I like having one to check my teeth at home.

What are you most excited for on a Friday arvo?

I enjoy a glass of wine, trying out new restaurants and going to the movies with my friends or partner. My weekends are usually spent outdoors unless it’s raining – then I’d rather stay home watching documentaries.
